Congratulations to the Rocky Mountain Symphonic Band, who earned a II - Excellent rating at the 2010 DIII Concert Band Festival! This score reflects a growth of 7 points on a 40 point scale in ONE year. Well done, band!
Congratulations to Brian Larson. Brian finished 1st in the state of Idaho for multiple percussion solo and 4th for snare solo at the State Solo and Ensemble Competition in Post Falls on May 1. Way to go, Brian!

-Donations are still needed for the 2nd Annual Spring Gala on Friday, the 28th. Also, don't forget to pick out your favorite dessert to bring to win bragging rights for the next year at the Dessert and Awards Night following the concert.

- The week of May 24th-28th will be Auditions for all incoming Freshmen (current 8th graders). Ask Mr. Davis, Ms. Bard, Mr. Sandvik, and Mr. Howard for the audition materials. More specific dates TBA
Friday, May 28th - 6:00pm - RMHS Auditorium
- Stop by and come bid on items donated by local businesses to support your band program and enjoy music performed by musicians from the Sawtooth 8th Grade Band and Rocky Mountain High School Bands and Percussion Ensemble, including a finale with both schools. The concert and silent auction will be followed by an awards and dessert get-together down in the cafeteria. The Gala is on Friday, May 28th - bidding starts at 6:00, music at 6:30.
Graduation - May 29th - 6:00pm - Taco Bell Arena
- We are playing for the commencement ceremonies of the graduating class of 2010. Please be at Taco Bell Arena (Boise State) by 6:00pm to set up. Use the East (service) entrance located between the arena and Bronco Stadium.
Mini Camp - Thurs-Fri, June 10-11; 10am - 2pm
Marching Band Mini Camp. Thurs-Fri from 10am - 2pm. Intro to the music for the fall show plus some marching fundamentals. Bring your instrument, water, sunscreen, and sneakers - NO SANDALS!!!
Summer Camp - Tues-Fri, Aug 10-13 & 17-20; 9am-12pm, 1-4pm
Summer Camp - Tues-Fri 9am-12pm, 1-4pm. This is our big camp - IF YOU PLAN ON MARCHING IN THE FALL, YOU MUST BE HERE. Bring water (lots of it, in a bottle/jug marked with your name), sunscreen, music, instrument, accessories for your instrument, and sneakers - NO SANDALS!!!! This is where the fun REALLY begins!
Camp Pot Luck - Fri, Aug 20; 6pm - RMHS Stadium
Camp Completion Pot Luck - Come on by on the evening of the 20th to watch us perform the opener to our 2010 show! Afterwards, enjoy a pot luck/meet and greet with the parents of the program to kick off another great marching season!
